Presa Canario

The Presa Canario (Dogo Canario) belongs to a breed of dogs that are extremely dominant and feel the need to control everything, even their owner. At first glance they look intimidating, but if trained properly they can be gentle and tireless in play with children and other animals. Training and socialisation of these dogs must begin very early, because later they may show aggression towards strangers or other animals. If training is carried out the right way, without physical punishment, which has the opposite effect, this dog will show gentleness and affection towards its owners and will also act protectively towards the whole family. It will accept strangers with reserve, but without physical attacks. Presa Canarios can be extremely stubborn, so their training can only be carried out by someone who is very patient and persistent.
