ARRESTED: Serbians illegally selling dogs and puppies around Munich

It was established that the puppies were not vaccinated and had forged documents, so the police were informed MUNICH: Two Serbian citizens, aged 32 and 57, have been arrested in Munich on suspicion of illegally selling puppies. The two were uncovered after people from a German animal welfare association spotted a suspicious newspaper advertisement offering puppies for sale.

People from that association then answered the advertisement and arranged to buy two dogs.
When they arrived at the agreed place, two Serbians turned up. Two puppies were in a cage in the car. It was established that the puppies were not vaccinated and had forged documents, so the police were informed, German media report.

When the Serbians realised that the „buyers“ had called the police, they snatched the puppies and the documents out of their hands and tried to flee.
However, a police patrol soon caught up with them and stopped their car. After the arrest, it was established that the two men had no permanent residence in Germany. After identification and the rest of the procedure, they paid a deposit of 2,200 euros and were released from custody, local media write.

It was determined that the animals were not injured, and they were taken to an appropriate dog shelter.
