ROTTWEILER MAULS BOY (11) IN PROKUPLJE: Child admitted to hospital with multiple bites

An 11-year-old boy was injured when a dog attacked and bit him in the Plehane Kuće neighbourhood of Prokuplje over the weekend.

The boy was hospitalised and kept at the Surgery Department for further treatment.

"He was admitted to our Emergency and Triage Department, accompanied by his mother, with multiple bites and scratches which, as he said, were caused by a dog. After observation he was referred to the Surgery Department, where he was kept," the "Dr Aleksa Savić" General Hospital in Prokuplje confirmed to us.

We have learned unofficially that the dog is an owned Rottweiler, that it jumped on the child, and that a woman who was nearby tried to and eventually managed to drag the dog away from the boy.
