We present a wonderful poem about dogs from the book "Pusto ostrvo" (Desert Island) by Bora Đorđević:

A DOG'S LIFE

A dog's life, calm and safe,

is rarely offered to any dog,

A man can be worthless,

dogs are worthy, and so are some people.

There are people who will not have a dog,

they do not want to waste their time on one,

they are wrong, they could learn from dogs,

only good things, never anything bad.

Every dog lives a dog's life,

it knows no treachery or malice,

If the master dies, the dog will lie down

and die on its master's grave.

Man sins, a puppy is without sin,

so let the good Lord judge me,

let His wrath come down upon me,

I love dogs more than people.
