With L-carnitine

• Promotes efficient fat metabolism, helping overweight cats burn fat more effectively while preserving muscle mass.

Optimal fibre content

• The optimal fibre content promotes a feeling of fullness without adding extra calories and supports intestinal health and function.

Low fat content

• A formula with reduced fat content* designed to help with healthy weight loss or weight maintenance while ensuring your cat stays energetic and satisfied (*with 44% less fat than Essential Complete).

Urinary health support

• Controlled levels of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium support urinary tract health.

With FOS

• Enriched with inulin, a source of fructo-oligosaccharides, a prebiotic that supports a balanced gut microbiome for improved digestion and nutrient absorption.

Immune support

• This formula is enriched with vitamins (vitamins A and D3) and antioxidants (vitamin E) to support immune function.

Taurine

• Enriched with extra taurine, an essential amino acid that helps maintain normal heart function and eye health.

• Leave the dry food where your cat can reach it at any time. Cats eat often and in small amounts.
• Serve dry or slightly moistened with lukewarm water. It can also be served with Husse wet food or toppings.
• For the daily amount of food, see the feeding table. The recommended daily amount is only a guideline, as needs vary considerably from cat to cat.
• A bowl of fresh water should always be available to your cat.
• If you think your cat is overweight, you should consult a vet before starting a weight reduction programme.

With overweight cat food the first step is a talk with your vet, as the description itself advises. Then introduce the food over 7 to 10 days and weigh portions on scales. For a 4 to 5 kg cat the table gives 40 to 45 g a day for weight loss and 50 to 60 g for maintenance; treat it as a guideline. Add wand toy play a few times a day, since movement helps as much as the bowl.

How long does a 2 kg bag last?

At about 42 g a day, it lasts roughly six and a half weeks.

Is it suitable for senior cats?

Yes, it is made for adult and senior cats that are overweight or prone to weight gain.
