SALMON OIL IS A UNIQUE, HIGH-QUALITY FISH OIL

• All production is carried out with high-quality raw materials, which means the salmon is raised in natural conditions. The entire production process for this oil takes less than 24 hours in order to preserve all the essential components of the product. Production is carried out under strict control. No preservatives are used in the production of the salmon oil or in packaging, and no technical or chemical purification processes that could affect product quality are used either. The salmon oil is free from additives and chemical substances and contains only pure salmon oil. Our unique production system and quality raw materials make this a high-quality product. Production is based on "off cut" raw material, i.e. the oil is obtained from salmon fillets using a gentle method. The result of this process is a high-quality, pure salmon oil of unique quality in composition, smell and taste. Because of its high astaxanthin content, the oil is orange in colour and has strong antioxidant activity. No added fatty acids. Chemical analyses show that all components in the oil are stable, which gives this product its quality. It smells like fresh salmon and has a pleasant taste. The quality of the oil means it is also suitable for human consumption as well as for animals. The pure oil is an excellent food supplement and an optimal source of omega 3. Thanks to the high quality of the product and its high antioxidant content, the product is the most natural source of omega 3 fatty acids.

EFFECT OF N-3 FATTY ACIDS

• The three most important n-3 fatty acids are (EPA) eicosapentaenoic acid, (DHA) docosahexaenoic acid and (DPA) docosapentaenoic acid. These three fatty acids are very important for the optimal development, maintenance and function of many tissues and organs, in particular: cell membranes, the brain, skin, coat, kidneys, blood vessel walls, the immune system; they are precursors of many hormones and signalling substances such as eicosanoids; and the eyes (retina).

N-3 FATTY ACIDS AND DISEASE

Add salmon oil for dogs on top of the kibble and introduce it gradually: half the recommended amount for the first few days, then the full dose. According to the maker's table a 20 kg dog gets 10 ml a day, about two 5 ml spoons; treat that as a guideline. Watch stools and appetite during the first week. The oil is orange and smells of fresh salmon, so most dogs take it happily.

How much per day?

For dogs and cats up to 5 kg 2.5 ml, 5 to 10 kg 5 ml, 15 to 30 kg 10 ml and over 30 kg 15 ml. Ponies get 15 to 30 ml and horses 20 to 60 ml a day.

How long does a bottle last?

A 20 kg dog on 10 ml a day uses a 300 ml bottle in about 30 days and a 1 l bottle in about 100 days.
